Saving The Environment With An Eco-Friendly House
Dreaming of an eco-friendly house that can help
reduce the use of energy and make you contribute to save the environment is not
a bad idea at all. In fact, it’s what people need to do these days and it’s
definitely possible to have one.
An eco-friendly house
design idea is always trying to lower the energy used in the house. And of
course, there are many solutions to execute that one purpose.
First example, an eco-friendly
house design idea that minimize the use of power for lighting. There are
at the very least two ways to achieve this: 1.) using floor to ceiling windows
and 2.) using LED as a substitute to traditional incandescent bulbs. Large windows
help your absorb the natural heat and light from the sun. By having those wide
windows, you don’t need to turn on the lamps in the daylight because let’s be
real, some people do this because there aren’t enough windows in their house. As
for the use of LEDs, it’s good because even though LEDs cost more than
traditional incandescent bulbs, they
definitely use less energy and on top off that, they last longer. If you start
to use LEDs as the light source for your home, you can cut off the high monthly
bills.
Second way, your eco-friendly
house design idea can be focused on the materials. Using sustainable
building materials can reduce the effect of construction on the environment. Products
such as recycled plastic, recycled glass, or maybe natural ones such as bamboo
or linoleum are great renewable materials that can be used for each part of
your house like roofing material, flooring, cabinets, and many more. Those materials
are undoubtedly environment friendly.
Third example, you can install solar panels which
utilizes the natural power of the sun. You can bring down your energy
consumption this way.
Summary: An eco-friendly house design idea can be
achieved by using large windows, LEDs, sustainable and renewable building
materials, and solar panels.
